Location Scouting in Unreal Engine
Google Earth, Cesium plugin
Unreal Engine has the capability to port in a full 3D copy of Google Earth's data. While none of the 3D models can be adjusted, this is incredibly useful for location scouting, planning lighting for a shoot, VR scouting, or for blocking in previs on top of the Google models themselves.
I experimented a bit seeing what results I could pull out of it. Keep in mind the closer you go to the ground the lower resolution Google Earth data becomes. There are currently 2500 cities and 49 countries available.
